Testimonials

For the past six years I've been privileged to have weekly massages by Max Shane. His magic touch, kind spirit and dedication to his trade makes him unique.

On the subject of my health, my back and legs have never felt better. After a couple times back on the ice, I have felt no pain at all, which is the first time I can say that in about 3 years. Not only that, but I was able to impress myself and others with a new found flexibility and quickness that has brought my game to a new level. I can't thank you enough for all the work that you have done and hopefully I can get back on the table as soon as possible.

Max's methods and energy are just right for getting out the kinks from hard cycling competition- you don't ever leave his table wanting anything less than what you just received.

Max uses a very thorough and intuitive style of massage that keeps me rowing at my best. He senses just what I need during a session and provides an integration of a deep tissue/sports like massage then follows it with up with a more soothing and gentle massage with amazing results.

Max, You are awesome - thanks for working so hard on Karen's hip/leg today to get it back in synch... you are very gifted, and we appreciate your care very much.
Best, Dave

I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis). That means that on any given day, I have no functioning, some functioning or total functioning in parts of my body. That also means that on any given day I have major pain, some pain or no pain in parts of my body. That also means that on any given day, I am tired of, afraid of, angry with, and disconnected from my body. As such, anyone who can help heal my body - even for a few hours or days - is an angel to me. Max Shane is just such a person. Massage is one of the blessings and weapons I have found to help deal with and even overcome some of my MS symptoms. I know I will probably never be able to go back to work as a law professor, never drive a sports car, never count on my body to do what I ask (even when I ask nicely!), but with massage I am able to win some battles. Sometimes the victory is to wiggle a toe, sometimes it is an accomplishment to hold a glass, and it has even resulted in a week long bike trip in New Mexico! At a minimum, massage gives me the maximum ability to feel better, stronger and more whole in body, mind and spirit. Massage by just any therapist is not the same as massage by a therapist who is caring, fearless, creative, professional i.e. Max Shane. He brings his strong hands, big heart, and healing spirit to his table.

I have severe degenerative disc disease with scoliosis of the spine. I would not be able to go about living my life if it were not for Max Shane's deep tissue massages.

There's nothing like a good massage; better yet, there's nothing like a great massage. Even better, however, is a Max massage...
As a person with a high-stress job, and as a competitive masters rower, I need more that a simple, gentle kneading of muscles. A Max massage is intense and truly therapeutic; and Max is as skilled and professional a massage therapist as one is likely to find anywhere, anytime. I've learned that a massage (that is, a massage from Max) is not just a luxury or an indulgence, it's a necessity for my well-being. Thank you, Max!

Max Shane is not called Miracle Max just because he is as funny as Billy Crystal in Princess Bride.Rather he is able to do the things that help people function when they otherwise cannot. I have had Max help me with my own challenges with multiple sclerosis for over 10 years. At all times of day and night at his place of work and a tour home he has provided his magic touch.
